Poker Aces - How to play them

Posted on May 2, 2022 by Bradford Rodriguez

Poker Aces refers to two aces dealt . It's the strongest possible pre-flop hand in Texas Holdem Poker. But despite this many players find themselves on the losing end when dealt this hand.

When you are dealt a pair of Aces, you simply don't fold . You are sitting with the best possible hand at this stage of the game. So how can you wager with Poker Aces? Do you just go all-in? I would say no to that.

Remember, you are trying to make as much profit from this strong position. You want to maximise the chance. Going all-in will just scare most players into folding without placing a wager.

If you are at the early position (first or second to bet), you are going to place a single wager. Anyone with a good hand will call, hopefully someone might raise. When there has been a raise do not leap to re-raise or call, pause for a brief while -- make them believe you are contemplating your options and then call.

After the flop your strategy is to eliminate anyone that might find a straight or a flush. So I would start to raise aggressively, if you are lucky you will trick one player into thinking that you are bluffing.

If you are in the middle or late position (one of the last to bet) you will watch as everyone calls and then raise. Despite the fact that you're sitting with a pair of aces, if possible attempt to avoid a show-down. Safeguard your hand by forcing other people to fold after the flop. If you don't push your opponents you risk losing your hand.

Here are a few things to consider of when gambling on poker aces:

Primarily, you have the early advantage over every other player -- use it to maximise your profit..
